the punishment of the Law are hereby advertised that they may apply to
the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor in their respective parishes
for passes to their several settlements there to be provided for as the Law
directs. And the said Magistrates do also exhort and require the said Constable
Headboroughs and Beadles to make a return to them of all Bawdy houses
and Gaming houses in their respective parishes in Order that such
Houses may be suppressed and the Keepers of them brought to Condign
punishment. And Whereas the public Streets and Highways
within this County are at this time so pestered by common prostitutes who
by the Snares which they lay for unwary Youth are often the means of their
destruction to the great increase of public and private Robbers. In Order
to remedy this growing evil it is recommended to the Magistrates in their
respective parishes that they do Summon the Constables before them and
strictly require and enjoin them to exert their utmost diligence to put a
stop to these dangerous and increaseing disorders by apprehending all such
in prostitutes as shall be foundinfestingthe Streets and that the said Constables
do give Special direction to their several Watchmen to do the same

And the Magistrates do most Earnestly recommend it to
the Masters of Apprentices and Servants in the lower branches of Trades
and Manufactures not to Suffer their apprentices or Servants to warder
about the publick streets after the Hours of labours are over it being
notorious that Numbers of them by connecting themselves with common
Strumpetspickpockets and persons of infamous Character have gradually
proceeded from one degree of Wickedness to another untill they have become
Objects of public Justice

And the Magistrates do hereby declare that they will exert
themselves with vigour to restore and continue public safety and order in
the several parishes in their respective JurisdictionsAnd it is further
Ordered that these resolutions be printed and affixed at the Corners of the
Streets within the Bills of Mortality within this County and also that the said
resolutions be inserted in the publick papers
