John Wilson< no role > Clerk to Mr Peake of Southampton Buildings Attorney at
Law maketh Oath that on Thursday last he called at the Defendant Lodging
in Dokins Cort Kings Street Westminster and found him in his Room in a
Sick and langinching Condition and was informed by him and which Information
this Deponent believes to be true that he had been ill and confined to
his Room for a For might then last past and that he could not without endangering his Life
personally appear in this honourable Court pursuant to his Recognizance
[..] Effect And this Deponent further saith that he called upon the
said Defendant this Forenoon at his Lodgings and found him all in Bed
while he again expressed his inability on amount of his Illness to attend
this honourable Court which this Deponent verily believes to be true
