At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our
Lord the King holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in saint
John Street in the said County (by Adjournment) on Thursday the Twenty first
Day of Octoberin the Thirteenth Year of the Reign of our
Sovereign Lord George the Third King of Great Britain Etc. Before
Sir John Hawkins< no role > Knight Benjamin Cowley< no role > John Walford< no role > David Wilmot< no role > Esqr and others
their Fellows Justices of Our Sovereign Lord the King Assigned to keep
the Peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear and Determine Diverse
Felonies Trespasses and other Misdemeanors Committed in the Same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint George
Hanour Square within the Liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex Have
at this present Session Exhibited their petition and Appeal Setting forth That by virtue
of a Pass warrant or Order under the hands and seals of J. Girdles and Stepn. Clarke< no role >
Esquires Two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace on and for thesaid County of Middlesex
(whereof one is of the Quorum) bearing date the Twenty second day of September 1773
Elizabeth Hooke< no role > Widow of Roger Hooke< no role > Deceased was removed from and out of that
paid of the Parish of Saint Andrew Holborn which lies above the Bars in the said
County to the said Parish of Saint George Hanover Square as the place of her last
legal settlement thereby the Petitioners thought themselves aggreived Now upon
hearing the said Petition and Appeal in the presence and hearing of the Churchwar-
dens and overseers of the Poor ofthe said Parish ofthat part of the Parish of
Saint Andrew Holborn which his above the Bars in the County of Middlesex and
has consenting by their Counsel to the allowing of the said Appeal It is Ordered
that the said Appeable and the same is hereby allowed and the said Order or
Pass warrant of the said Two Justices is hereby vacated and set aside And it
is further Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of S [..]
the said Parish of Saint George Hanover Square do forthwith convey bad deliver
back unto the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the part of the Parish
of Saint Andrew Holborn which his above the Bars in the County of Middlesex
or to some or one of them the said Elizabeth Hooke< no role > who are hereby required to
receive and provide for the said Elizabeth until they can free themselves from the
the Charge thereof by due Course of Law.
