At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord
the King holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in
Saint John Street in the said County (by Adjournment) on
Thursday the Twenty Third day of July in the Twelfth Year
of the Reign of our sovereign Lord George the Third King of
Great Britain Etc. Before John Hawkins< no role > Benjamin
County< no role > Herbert Mackworth< no role > John Walford< no role > Esquries and
others their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King Assigned
to keep the Peace of our said Lord the King in the County aforesaid
and also to hear and determine divers Felonies Trespasses
and other Misdemeanors committed in the same County

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Saint George Hanover Square in the said County Did at the last General
Quarter Session of the Peace exhibit their Petition and Appeal setting forth
That by Virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order under the Hands and Seals of
Gerrard Howard< no role > and Stephen Guion< no role > Esquires two of His Majesty's Justices
of the Peace in and for the County of Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum)
bearing Date the Eighth day of April 1772 Isabella Barland< no role > wife of George
Barland< no role > (gone abroad beyond Sea) and their Three Children Vigt. Catherine< no role >
George< no role > and Benjamin< no role > were removed and Conveyed from and out of the Parish
of Saint John Hampstead in the said County to the said Parish of Saint
George Hanover Square of the place of their last legal Settlement Whereby
the Petitioners conceived themselves aggrieved which said Appeal was
duly Ajourned unto this day Now upon hearing of the said Appeal and
what hath been Alledged on either side by the respective Churchwardens and
Overseers their Council and Witnesses in and concerning the Promisses
It is Ordered that the said pass Warrant or Order of the said two Justices
by and the same whereby Comfirmed And it is further Ordered That the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint George
Hanover Square Do mantain and Provide for the said Isabella Barland< no role >
and her Three Children until they can free themselves from the Charge thereof
by due Course of Law.
