At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the King holden
for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street
in the said County (by Adjournment) On Thursday the Eleventh day of
Aprilin the Eleventh Year of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the Third King of Great Britain Etc. Before
Saunders Welch< no role > Benjamin Cowley< no role > Thomas Niccoll< no role > John

< no role > Esquires and others their Fellows
Justices of our Said Lord the King Assigned to Keep the
Peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear and determine
diverse Felonies Trespasse and other Misdemeanors
committed in the same County.

Whereas the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of Saint Martin in the Fields within the Liberty of Westminster in the
County of Middlesex Have at this present Session Exhibited their Petition
and Appeal setting forth That by Virtue of an Order of Removal Under the
Hands and Seals of James Esdaile< no role > and Benjamin Cowley< no role > two of His
Majestys Justices of the Peace for the said Cownty (One whereof being of the
Quorum) bearing date the Twelfth day of March 1771. Elizabeth Jenkinson

< no role > Singlewoman was removed from the Parish of Saint Lukes in the
said County of Middlesex to the Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields
in the Liberty of Westminster in the said County of Middlesex as the place
of her last legal Settlement Whereby the Petitioners apprehended themselves
aggrieved Now upon hearing of the said Appeal in the presence and
hearing of the Church Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of
Saint Luke and they Consenting by their Council to the Allowing of the said
Appeal It is Ordered that the said Appeal be and the same
is hereby Allowed and the said Order of the said Two Justices is hereby
Vacated and set aside And it is further Ordered that the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields
do forthwith Convey and deliver back the said Poor Woman together with a copy of this Order unto the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish Saint Luke
or to some or one of them who are hereby required to Receive and Provide
for her untill they can Free themselves from the Charge thereof by due
Course of Law
