To the Worshipfull His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for the County of Middlesex in their General
Session of the Peace Assembled.

The Humble Petition and Appeal
of Robert Fladgate< no role > of Whembly in the
Parish of Harrow on the Hill in the County
of Middlesex .

Sheweth


That on or about the nineteenth day of September last,
a Second Rate and Assessment of Six Pence in the Pound for this Present
Year said Parish of Harrow on the Hill for the Relief of the Poor of
the same Parish, which said Rate on or about the Second day of
November last was Allowed by Two of his Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for the same County.

That your Petitioner thinks himself much aggrieved
by such Rate the same being very Unequal And your Petitioner is
Rated more in proportion than the other Inhabitants and Parishoners
of the same Parish he being thereby Raised and Advanced from the
Sum of One hundred and Fifty two Pounds a Year; to the Sum of
Two hundred and Forty Pounds a Year, when at the same time the
rest of the Inhabitants and Parishoners are not by this Rate
Advanced or Raised from their former Rates, nor are they thereby
Assessed and Rated in Proportion to Your Petitioner.

Therefore Your Petitioner Appeals against
the same Rate as Unequal and Humbly Prays
relief in the Premisses And that this Court will
Appoint some day the next General Quarter
Session of the Peace for the hearing and
Determination of this his said Appeal

And Your Petitioner will ever Pray Etc
