WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto us, two of
His MAJESTY'S Justices of the Peace in and for the
County of MIDDLESEX (one whereof being of the
Quorum) by the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of St. LUKE , in the said County, That Rebecca
Dickson
< no role > Wife of Richard Dickson< no role > (who is gone
away & left her) and her Child named Charles < no role > aged
about five years have
lately come into the said Parish, endeavouring to Settle there,
contrary to Law. And it appeareth unto us the said Justices,
and we do adjudge that they are likely to become charge
able to the said Parish; and upon Examination of [..]
Elizabeth Matthew< no role > taken upon Oath
it further appeareth unto us, and we do likewise adjudge, that
the Parish of Saint John Southwark in the
County of Surry
is the Place of the last Settlement of the said Rebecca
Dickson
< no role > and her said Child

These are therefore in His MAJESTY'S Name to Charge and
Command the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of St. LUKE , forthwith to remove and convey the said
Rebecca Dickson< no role > and her said Child
from the said Parish of St. LUKE , to the said Parish of
Saint John Southwark and deliver them to the
Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or to some
or one of them, who are hereby required to provide for them
according to Lew. GIVEN under our Hands and Seals
the 18 Day of January1770.

To the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the respective Parishes
of St. LUKE , in the County of MID-
DLESEX, and Saint John
Southwark in the County of
Surry
and to all other Officers whom it any
concern.
