Who being upon Oath says that She knows Timothy Simpson< no role >
and
John Mc.Cloud< no role >
the former a Barber the latter a Glazier that she lived with said
Mc.Cloud for about four Months down to the Time the Misfortune
happened to the late Mr. John Stoddart< no role >
and on that very Saturday
Night they went out from her Room together about 9 o'Clock and
returned between and one (as they informed her as to the hour
when they returned) that Mc.Cloud appeared without his Coat hatt or Wigg
and that Simpson had also lost his Wigg, that they told her they had been
at Bartholomew Fair
and got into a Fight and having given Mc.Cloud's
Coat to a Person to hold it was run away with, that they all thraley
in her Room that Night, that the next Morning said Simpson went down
to Wapping to Mc.Cloud's Brother who is a Sailor on Board the Success
then laging off New Crane
Hairs and brought a Cheque Shirt a Silk Handkerchief
and a white Flanen Jacket which said Mc.Cloud put on says the next
day being Monday, that is to say yester was three Weeks, they both went off
in Order as they said to go to Mc.Cloud's Unde at Greenland Dock to get some
more Cloaths for him to go on Board the said Ship which is a Stockholm
Trader Capt Stophouse Commander Owner Mr. Harvey of Ratcliff Cross
Merchant says She hath not seen either said Simpson or Mc.Cloud since
says She never suspected then of the Murder of Mr. Stoddart until last Thursday
when She saw their Names in the Newspaper that Mc.Cloud's Brother
Christian Name is Henry< no role >
and that he came from the Ship to her Lodging
with the Jacket his last Sunday three Weeks in Company with Simpson
that the aforesaid Ship was to Sail as last Sunday fortnight as they told
her for Stockholm from whence She came says She has seen sd. Mc.Cloud
with such a Coat and a such a Handkerchief as are now
produced
