before me this 5th. day of Octr. 1768

Who being upon Oath says that he knows John Mc. Cloud< no role > now present and
Timothy Simpson< no role > his Companion says they came several times about
a Month or six Weeks ago on Board the Ship he belonged to in the
River vizt. the Success Capt Stonehouse at one of which times he this
Informant lent to said Simpson a knife and is very sure it is the same
knife which he hath since seen in the possession of Mr. Oddy one of the Constables
of the Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell
