January 1st. 1768 touching the Death
of William Langford< no role > , then and there Lying
dead.

Edward Harman< no role > of Kicks had aforesaid Labourer
Depesoth, That on Tuesday last the 29th day of
this present month of December this Deponent and
William Langford< no role > , Since dead, had book drinking
together at Headley, & in returning home, betwist
Nine & ten at night, they called in at a Publick
House at Kicks, end called the two Sawyers,
and there ash'd for a Pot of Beer, Wth the Woman
of the House refrased to draw, Saying to this Depont
he had Sufficient or to that affect, Whereupon
this Deponent woat away with the Said Langford
being [..] this Deponent, he heard a Man who
to as following Say to another "See Kow they
"Watch I will Clear the Road," and very Soon
after 'the Same Person(who So Name is Joseph
Werd< no role > ) over look the does used and Feushed him
off the Cause way into a Ditck on the right head
Side in Wch ditch Stands a New Paled First agt
Wch the deceased foll, and then Said Ward came
up to this Deponent, and Pushed this Deponent
off the Cause way into the Road on the left Side of
the Causewaywhich [..] where this Deponent
fell down, but very Soon got up again, and Seeing
the Person whose Pushed him running away, that
Deponent Pushed him, & Over taking him [..] again
the Stabbs of the Which Lyon, trapped up the Said Wards
