The Information of
George Rogers< no role >
of the Crown in Swallow Street
taken before me this 19th. day
of August 1767
Who being upon Oath says that last Tuesday Night
but one he met a Women now present who calls
herself Rose Stroud< no role >
at the Corner of the Hay
Market
and went with her to the house of
Thomas Rogers< no role >
in Hedge Lane
where they went
to Bed together in a Room up two pair of Stairs
backwards, that he this Informant then had in his left
hand Breeches Pocket twenty four pounds fifteen
Shillings in a flannel Rag which he felt just
before he got into Bed, that he laid his Breeches
with the said Money in the Pocket under his Pillow,
that he awoke about four o'Clock the next Morn-
ing when the said Rose Stroud< no role >
was gone, and looking
for his Breeches found they had been taken away
from under his Pillow, that on searching [..]
he found them on one Side of the Bed, and examining
the Pockets he perceived that the aforesaid Money to
wit twenty four pounds fifteen Shillings was Stolen,
and further says that he suspects and verily
believes the said Rose Strouds< no role >
is the person who
feloniously took and carried away the said Money
his
