At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord the
King holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John
Street in the said County (by Adjournment) on Thursday the Sixteenth
day of July in the Seventh year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord
George the Third King of Great Britain Etc Before John Hawkins< no role >
Saunders Welch< no role > , Benjamin Cowley< no role > , Thomas Niccoll< no role > Esquires and-
others their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King Assigned to keep
the Peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear and determine
divers Felonies Trespasses and other misdemeanours committed in the
same County

Whereas the Church wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint
James Westminster Have at this present Session Exhibited their Petition and-
Appeal Setting forth that by a Pass Warrant or Order under the hands and
Seals of William Deane< no role > and Edmond Byron< no role > Esquires two of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace for the City and Liberty of Westminster (One whereof
being of the Quorum) bearing date the 9th. day of June 1767 Elizabeth Evers< no role >
wife of John Evers< no role > (who is now in the Middlesex Hospital and her two Children
by her said Husband (to wit) Frances< no role > Aged two years and Elizabeth Jane< no role > aged-
Six Months, were removed from the Parish of Saint Anne within the liberty
aforesaid to the said Parish of Saint James as the place of their last legal
Settlement Whereby the Petitioners thought themselves Aggrieved Now upon hearing
of the said Appeal in the presence and hearing of the Church wardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Anne and they consenting by
their Council to the Allowing of the said appeal It is Ordered that the said Appeal be
Allowed and the same is hereby Allowed accordingly And the said Pass Warrant
or Order of the said two Justices is hereby vacated and set aside and it is
further Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint James do forthwith Convey and deliver back the said Elizabeth
Evers
< no role > and her two Children (together with a Copy of this Order) unto the Church,
wardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Saint Anne or to some
or one of them who are hereby required to receive and provide for them untill
they can Free themselves from the charge thereof by due course of law.
