Is there any Minute or Contract by City for
Purchase of Conduit Mead

Yes-The Common Council have confirmed
the Agreement for the Purchase of it for £24000

There is an Order of Common Council for
compleating the Purchase of it and it is referred
back to the Committee to carry the same into
Execution

Have the City any Money to Pay for this

Estate or how do they propose to raise it

The City has not Cash sufficient of their own
to Pay for it as I understand by the Chamberlains
Office-but how the City proposes to Pay for
it I can not answer I have had Offers

Persons to land the City the Money if they
thought proper

How many Acres is it

4 Acres 2 Roods 37 Perchesabout 4 Acres
and a half

What is the Rent of it as it is

To the best of my remembrance it is £2200
a Year-Cannot tell whether there are any
Leases upon it-The Grand Lease for 100 Years
Will expire at Lady day 1766 and there is 100
Years from that time which the City propose
purchasing
