At the General Session of the Peace of our Lord the King holden
for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in
the said County (by Adjournment) on Saturday the Fifteenth day
of September 1764 in the Fourth year of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the Third King of Great Britain Etc

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Christ Church in the County of Middlesex Have at this present session
Exhibited their Petition and Appeal to this court Setingforth That by virtue
of a Pass Warrant or Order under the hands and Seals of William Caston< no role > and
Robert Pell< no role > Esquire Two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County
of Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the Eighteenth
day of August 1764 whereby Ann Berwick< no role > and her two Children namely
Elizabeth< no role > aged Thirteen years and Mary< no role > aged Seven years and upwads were
removed from and out of the Parish of Saint Leonard Shorediteh in the said County
of Middlesex unto the said Parish of Christ Church in the same County as the place
of their last legal Settlement Whereby the Petitioners conceived themselves to be
Aggrieved Whereupon at the Request of the said Petitioners It is Ordered that
the benefit of their said Appeal be saved unto them and that the nearing and
determining thereof be and the same is hereby Adjourned until the next
General Quarter Session of the Peace to be holden for this County and that the
Churchwarden and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Saint Leonard
Shoreditch aforesaid on Notice hereof to be given to them in the mean time
and all Person concerned do Attend the Court at Hicks Hall aforesaid on
Tuesday the Sixteenth day of October next by nine of the Clock in the
Forenoon (at which time and place the said Session will be holden an adjourment
as it is expected) to hear and abide the Judgment and Determination of the
said Court touching the said Appeal.
