Mary Ponton< no role > Wife of Edward Ponton< no role > of Wentworth Street Carman
Saith that Saturday last between Nine and Ten in the Evening
as this Informant was Looking out at her Window opposite the
City of Norwick she saw Mr. Vandome Come out of the City of
Norwick and appeared to be going Home when Martin Came up
to him And struck him a Blow on the Head with a Stick (which
she Believes was a Mopstick) and he fell upon the Ground
That as soon as Martin struck the deceased the said Blow
he went across the way and fell upon a Walkman at a little
Distance That She only saw Martin strike One Blow
which was upon his Head And says he was then in a White
Coat But afterwards before the Mob was Dispersed Martin
Came to the Place again with a blue Coat on with brass Buttony
and his Stick under his ArmBut whether or not his Face
was Blackd' she cannot Tell for this Informant was Looking
out of a One pair of Stairs Window And his Hat was flapped
