The Information of Peter Hogg< no role > Servant
to John Gardiner< no role > Smith Farreir
in Brooks News taken before me
this 16th day of August 1763

Who being on Oath says that he Knows one Thomas
Poynton
< no role > a Smith that on Friday in last Easter Week
Said Poynton shewed this Informt. a Silver Table
Spoon and desired him to go with him to Sall it
says he took the said Spoon in hand in Band
Street and by the Assistance of a Lands Saw
that some Mark or Name had been rubled
out of it, and then declared he would have nothing
to do with it as it Appeared to have been Stolen says that next day said Poynton
Told this Informt. that he had at templed to Sell
said Spoon at Silver smiths in Holborn who had
Stopt it, and said Poynton then asked this Informt.
to go with him and receive the Money for it
which this Informt. denied, and forther says that
from these circumstances he has cause
to suspect that said Poynton had Stolen the
said Spoon, and says that what stil added to his suspicion
was, that said Poynton went out of Town
notwithstanding his Said Master Mr. Gardnier
woud have employed him longer, but and work
with his [..] at Rudgley in Staffordshire
