To the Worshipfull his majesties Justices of
the peace for the County of Middx at the
General Quarter Sessions of the peace
assembled

The Humble petition & appeal of the Churchwardens
& Overseers of the poor of the parish of St. Giles without
Cripplegate London .

Sheweth


That by Virtue of a Warrant Or Order under the hands
and Seals of James Esdaile< no role > and Benjamin Cowley< no role > Esquires
two of his Majesties Justices of the peace for the County of
Middlesex (one being of the Quorum) bearing Date the
15th. Day of May 1762. Jane Politer < no role > widow of John Politer< no role >
deceased and her Four Children namely Charles< no role > aged
thirteen years Elizabeth< no role > aged five year Sarah< no role > aged about
three years and William< no role > aged about Six months were removed
from the parish of Saint Luke in the County of Middlesex
to the parish of St. Giles without Cripplegate London
as the place of their last legal Settlement

That your petitioners Conceive themselves agrieved
by the said Warrant or Order and humbly appeal against
the same

Your petitioners therefore humbly pray
that your Worships will be pleased to
appoint a Day of this present Session
to hear & abide the Judgment And
determination of this Court touching
the said Appeal
