Middlesex


At the General Session of the Peace of Our Sovereign
Lord the King holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks
Hall in St. John Street in the said County (by Adjournment)
On Thursday the Tenth Day of December 1761. In the Second
Year of the Reign of Our Sovereign Lord George the Third by
the Grace of God King of Great Britain Etc. Before Thomas
Lane
< no role > George Errington< no role > George Greene< no role > John Smart< no role > Esquires
and others their Fellows Justices of Our said Lord the King
Assigned to keep the peace of Our said Lord the King in the
County aforesaid and also to hear and determine divers
Felonies Trespasses and other Misdemeanors Committed
in the same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint George Hanover Square in this County have
exhibited their Petition and Appeal to this Court settingforth
that by Virtue of a pass Warrant Order under the hands and Seals
of Edmund Byron< no role > and John Lane< no role > Esquires two of His Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for this County (One being of the Quorum)
bearing date the Twenty third day of November last Mary Peirson< no role >
Singlewoman was removed from the Parish of Saint Mary le
Bone in the County aforesaid to the Parish of St. George aforesaid
as the place of her last Legal Settlement Whereby the Petitioners
think themselves Aggrieved Whereupon at the Request of
the Petitioners it is Ordered that the Benefit of their said Appeal
be saved unto them And that the hearing and determination
thereof be and the same is hereby Adjourned until the next
General Quarter Session of the Peace tobe holden for the
said County And it is Ordered that the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish of St Mary le Bone upon Notice hereof
and all other Persons concerned do attend the Court at the saidnextSession
at Hicks Hall aforesaid On Thursday the Fourteenth day of January
now next coming (being the Fourth day of the said next Session
so intended to be holden) by nine of the Clock in the Forenoonof
to hear and abide the Judgment and determination of the Court
there touching the Premises.
