To the Right Worshipfull His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex at their General Quarter Session of the Peace Assembled

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of Tonbridge in the County of Rent

Sheweth


That by virtue of an Order of Removal under the Hands and Seals of Two of his Majesty's
Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex (one being of the Quorum) bearing date the Seventeenth day of
November last Sarah Webb< no role > an Infant Aged One Year the then last Whitsuntide (the Daughter of Thomas Webb< no role > who was
a Soldier in his Majesty's Services by Sarah < no role > his Wife who was run away and could not be found was Removed from the
Parish of Saint Mary White Chapel to the Said Parish of Tonbridge the said Justices thereby Adjudging that the last
legal Place of Settlement of the said Thomas Webb< no role > and Sarah his wife and their said Child was in the said Parish
of Tunbridges

That your Petitioners Conceive themselves Aggreived by the said Order and Judgment of the
said Justices and do humbly Appeal therefrom

Your Petitioners therefore most Humbly pray that your Worships
would be Pleased to Appoint some day in this Present Session to hear this
their Appeal and to make an Order that the Church Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Mary White Chapel and all Parties
Concerned [..] about the Premises may then and there Hear and Abide
the Determination of Your Worships therein,

And your Petitioners shall Ever Pray Etc

At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King
Holden for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall in Saint John Street in
the County aforesaid on Monday the eleventh Day of January in the Second
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third King of Great Britain
Etc.

It is Ordered by this Court that the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish of Saint Mary White Chapel have Notice of this Appeal and that they and all Parties
Concerned do Attend this Court on Thursday next at the Hour of Nine in the Forenoon to
Hear and Abide the Judgment and Determination of the same Court touching the said Appeal.
