Middlesex to wit


The Information of Elizabeth< no role > Wife of Edward Edgerton< no role >
of Drury Lane Chairman Taken before me this 27th.
day of Octr. 1760

Who being on Oath says that on Sunday the 5th. Instant between the
hours of Eleven and twelve at Night, at which time She was going
to Empty some Water out of a Pott of her Window which opens into [..] a
Court called Middlesex Court, she plainly saw a Person now present
who calls her self Elizabeth Honour< no role > but who is generaley known
by the Name of Yorkshire Bett , go along Arm in Arm with
a little Man, says she Saw them go into the House of one Jordon
in the said Court, says that in a few Minutes after this, which She continued
at her Window She likewise saw [..] two Women who go by the Names
of Moll Jones< no role > and Bett Edwards< no role > come into the said Court Swearing
that they wou'd have something to drink, and that they wou'd go on
see what Yorkshire Bett was doing, say She Saw the sd. two
Women go into the aforesaid House, says that in a few Minutes
after this She saw and heard the aforesaid Man say, that he had
not a halfpenny in the World, and that one of the aforesaid three
Women then said lett us feel, says that in a little white after this
She heard the same Man Cry out give me my Box, give me my
Box and He forgive you the rest, that a Quarrell then ensued
and that the said Man then went and called the Watch
