To the Worshipfull His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for the County of Middlesex in their Gen Quarter
Sessions of the Peace Assembled

The Petition of James Ashley< no role > and John
Priest< no role > Constables of the Township of New
Brentford in the said County

Humbly Sheweth

That your Petitioners have served the said Office of Constable in
the said Township in the Years 1753 & 1754 and Whereas
James Clitherow< no role > Esqr . Lord of the Mannor of Baston cum Brentford
in which the said Township Doth lie hath not lately Held or
is likely to Held a Court Leet wherein Constables may be
Chosen to Succed them

Your Petitioners therefore Humbly Pray that
this Court will Discharge them from their said
Office, And Appoint Two other fit persons of the
said Township Named in the List Annexed or such
Others as Your Worship shall think proper to Succed
them in their said Office

April 25th 1754.
