To the Worshipfull his Majestyes Justices of the Peace for the
County of Middlesex in their General Quarter Session of the
Peace Assembled

The Humble Petition of John Abbott< no role >

Sheweth


That by Indentures of Apprenticeshipp bearing Date the
Twenty Eighth day of August One thousand Seven hundred and fifty One
Your Petitioner was bound Apprentice to Robert Noyes< no role > of the Parish of
Saint James Clerkenwell in the said County Carver for the Space of Seven
Years

That your Petitioners Father Thomas Abbott< no role > Paid as a Consideracon
to the said Robert Noyes< no role > at the time of the Executing of the said Indentures
the Sum of Twenty Pounds

That your Petitioners said Master Robert Noyes< no role > hath very
frequently taken him and his fellow Apprentice into Gardens belonging
to other Persons to Pilfer Trees that were growing Flower Roots and
Box for Borders and divers other things till at length your Petitioner
began to Apprehend the fatal Consequences that might result from
such Unjust Proceedings and therefore your Petitioner Applyed to his
Friends Interpose in his favour to Prevent his Destruction

Your Petitioner therefore most humbly Prays your
Worshipps to Discharge him from his said Indentures of
Apprenticeshipp and to Order that his said Master may
return Part of the said Twenty Pounds Consideration Money
to your Petitioner

And your Petitioner (as in duty bound) will
ever Pray Etc
