At the General Quarter Session of the peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden for the County
of Middx at Hicks hall in St. John Street in the County aforesaid on Monday the fourteenth
day of January in the twenty seventh year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the
second King of Great Britain Etc.

It is ordered by this Court that it be and it is hereby recomended and referred unto

& Richard Ricards< no role > Esquires Justices of the peace of this County or any two or more of them
to summon before them the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the parish
of St. Mary Whitechapel in the said County and to examine into the Matter of the Complt:
of the within named Matthew Bateman< no role > Esquire specified in the within written
appeal and to make their Report in Writing touching the Premisses to the Court
of the next General or Quarter Session of the peace for this County to the intent
such further order mayshall bebe made as the Count shall think just
