Clements Jan 26th. Febry. 1750

About the Month of December last a woman named
Catherine Beaughn< no role > being committed by Mr. Fielding for uttering
a Counterfeit six pence to John Biddeford< no role > , the said Biddeford was
bound in Recognizance to Prosecute her accordingly, But although
I believed her Guilty yet being of Opinion the Evidence was not
quite sufficeint to conocit her I did not prosecute her on behalf
of the Crown, And therefore she was Discharged on the Goal delivery
the last Sessions at Hicks Hall , For this reason I sent my
Clerk (the Bearer) yesterday morning to Attend the Court, And
mention the so Circumstances in Order to the said Recognizance
being Vacated, who informed me you required my Lotter is that
Effect, and which I hope will now be Sufficient

I am

Sir

Your humble Servt.
