To the Worshipfull his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County
of Middlesex at their General Quarter Session Assembled.

The humble Petition and Appeal of the Church
Warden and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
Dorking in the County of Surrey .

Sheweth


That by Virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order under the hand
and Seal of Francis Bedwell< no role > Esquire one of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace for the County of Middlesex bearing date the thirteenth
day of November last , Jane Edwards< no role > Singlewoman was (as is
therein Alledged) Apprehended in the Parish of Saint Clement
Danes in the County of Middlesex as a Vagabond (Videlicet)
Wandering and begging and by the said Pass, Warrant or Order
was removed and Conveyed from the said Parish of Saint Clement
Danes to the Parish of Dorking called in the said Warrant or
Order the Parish of Darking in the County of Surrey as the
Place of her last legal Settlement

That your Petitioners think themselves Aggreived
by the Aforesaid Warrant or Order of the said Francis
Bedwell
< no role > Esquire and humbly Appeal against the same

Your Petitioners therefore humbly Pray
that the Benefit of the said Appeal may be saved
unto them and that a day may be Appointed in this
present Session of the Peace to hear and Determine
the same And to grant Your Petitioners such other
Relief in the Premisses as to Your Worships shall
seem meet.

And Your Petitioners shall ever pray Etc.
