William Harding< no role > of Greenland Dock Rotheieth in the County of Surry Maketh
Oath that the Pd Dept. Hunt was on or about the Twelfth day of July Lost
Comitted to the Gate house Westmr. by Justice fieldig for Feloniously to King
& Carrying away a Quantity of Linmen Wearing apparell Plate & abt. Eighteen
pounds in Money Hundred the Property of Walter Crotty this Depts. Son in
in Law for Wm. Clime< no role > the Sd. Hunt now Stands Indicted And this Dept. Saith
that the sd. Walter Crotty< no role > being obliged to go to the Island of White in the County
of Southampton abt. Some business Wm. adosign to return again to give Evidence
agt. the sd. Dept. And the Sd. Walter Crotty not returning this Dept. Went down so
Cows in the Sd. Island of white in Order to being him Up to Give Lurdeaces it he had been able and
Meeting Wch. the Sd. Walter Crotty on the first day of this Instant September he
this Dept. there found the Sd Walter Crotty Very ill in sed of a Geaver & in a
Very Dangerous Way attended by Doctor Cook & Could not be removed or
come to London want being in Danger of his Life And this Dept. Saith that
he caused the Court to be moved at Hicks Hall in Order to put of the Tryall
[..] upon the Sd. Indictmt. but was then told by the Sd. Court there that he
this Dept Must apply to this Honble Court to put of the Same And this Dept.
Saith that the Sd Walter Crotty is a Materiall Evidence agt. the Sd Dept Hunt
and Wthout whose Evidence the Sd Hunt Cannof he Safely Tryed upon the Sd Indictmt.
And this Dept. Saith that he hath Same rent a he sworn the Sd Walter Crotty
by Wm Lre this Dept. is Infenned that the Sd. Walter Crotty is Some thing better
& hopes to be well & in Town next Sessions & able to give Evidance of
the Sd Deft. Henry Hunt< no role >
