At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden forth
County of Middx at Hickshall in St. John Street in the County aforesaid on Monday the
third Day of July in the twenty third year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the
Second King of great Britain Etc before Thomas Lane< no role > Robert Tothill< no role > William Withers< no role >
John Tall< no role > Esquires and other their fellows Justices of our said Lord the King
assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid and also to Near and Determine
divers Felonys Trespasses and other Misdeeds comitted in thesaidsame County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Kensington
in the County Middx have exhibited their humble Petition and Appeal unto this Court
setting forth That by Virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order under the Stands and Seales
of Thomas Ellys< no role > & Peter Elers< no role > Esquires two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the
County of Middx aforesaid (One whereof being of the Quorum) bearing Date the fourth
Day of April last past Alice Mason< no role > in the said Order called the Wife of Dennis
Mason
< no role > (who is absconded & left her) and their three Children (that is to say) Dennis< no role >
aged near Six Years Hester< no role > aged about three Years and Elizabeth< no role > an Insant aged about
three Months were removed & Conveyed from the Parish of Chelsea in the said
County to the said Parish of Kensington as the Place of their last Legal Settlement
whereby the Petitioners conceive themselves to be aggreived And that therefore they
Appeal to this Court against the said Pass Warrant or Order and the Judgment of
the said two Justices of the Peace, Whereupon at the Request of the Petitioners and for
several reasons offered to this Court, It is ordered that the Benefit of the said Appeal
be saved unto the Petitioners, and that the hearing and Determining thereof be
the same is hereby adjourned untill the Next General Session of the Peace to
beholden for the said County of Middx, And that the Churchwardens and Overseer
of the Poor of the said Parish of Chelsea (Upon Notice of this Order) and all Persons
concerned do attend the Court of the said Next General Session of the Peace to be
holden for the said County by Adjournment on Tuesday the firth day of September
next at Ten of the Clock in the Forenoon of the same Day to hear & abide the
Judgement & Determination of the same Court touching the said Appeal,
