To the Right Honourable the Lord Mayor
of the City of London and the rest of the
Commissioners of Goal Delivery of his
Majesty's Prison of Newgate at Justice
Hall in the Old Bailey in the Suburbs of
London aforesaid Assembled

The Humble Petition of James Hetherington< no role >
now a Prisoner in Newgate aforesaid

Sheweth


That Your Petitioner was Committed by Henry Fielding< no role > Esquire
one of his Majestys Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex on the Third day of July
Instant to the Prison of Newgate aforesaid being Charged upon the Oath of
Peters Wood for unlawfully Assembling with divers others Persons in a
riotous and tunneltuos Manner and being so Assembled for beginning to
pull down a certain Dwelling house the Property of the said Peter Wood< no role >
against his Majestys Peace and also against the Form of the Statute Etc

That a Warrant of Detaines from the same Justice is lodged
against your Petitioner with the Keeper of the same Prison granted
upon the Oath of Joseph Stantrope< no role > Charging Your Petitioner with
High Treason in Levying War against his Majesty by riotously and
routously Assembling with divers other Persons in order to Suppress and
Pulldown all Bawdy Houses and in Execution of which [..] your Petr is charged that he with the sd other person begin to
pulldown a certain Dwelling house of the said Joseph Stanhope
against the Peace and the Form of the Statute Etc

Your Petitioner therefore most humbly
Prays your Lordship That your Petitioner may
be tryed Admitted to Bail or Discharged at this
Present Sessions pursuant to the Statute in such
Case provided.

And your Petitioners Shall ever Pray
