And there in his presence asked Several particulars (contained in the Instruccons) to which
Tannat answered as was agreed & the Attorney wrote them down

On Sunday Betty Humble< no role > came to Tannat's for the receipt which was to be dated
the 9th: of Novr: 1739 from Merchant to Tannat in order to account for their being
possitive As to the Day

Tannat sent to the City Sol to let him know what was desired particularly
that the Receipt was to be on an Old Peice of paper & to ask his directions

The Sol sent her a peice of a Letter of his own & bid her Write the receipt
desired upon it

Tannat & Merchant wile declare this whole Matter when they are
called for the Deft

I lived in five feet lane last November was two Years the three Gentleman came
to my house in Coch I nowed nither of them then but Mrs: Tennent She asked me if
I could go along with them thaire was Room in Coach thay stoped at Placese and
bought Several things that they wanted I cannot Rember what things they are I
Rember ye time very well [..] pen ye account of Mrs. Tennents bringing me sum money
from Bride I went home with Mrs. Nicholls Mrs: Tennent and the other Gentleman
want away before Supper after Supper Mrs. Tennent asked indfor a Recaile for ye
money I Remmber in Mrs: Nicholls Deyning roome stood a book case and Deft
and out of that Places She took ye money out in a Red silk Purss and gave to
Mrs: Tennet I gave her the Recaite for it I cannot be partikler to ye day of ye
month but by Recaile ye book case and Deft stood neather to one of the Windows
thise is all I can Rember at present I parted with them at term a Clock at Night

We went into a terven about fover a Clock and had Sum
beaf Stacks & bysters Sum way neather Billinsgate

I came to Mrs: Nicholls house one ye 5 day of November 1739 and contined till ye
Munday folling with her it happned to be theire washing week Mrs: N: was never
out of my Company one hever from ye time of my comeing till my going away but
when she went to bed I was ye first in ye Morning and last at Night Excepting her husband
I will take my oath that Mrs: Nicholls never in no Combination nor Conspiring
against any person that week I sollomnly declare She never was out of my Company
the Washing was begans befor I came and the Cloves was not all got out of the Way till
Satterday Night too never was a broad but one day in that Week it was one the friday I never
was out of her Company All that day it was about Eight o' Clock at Night when We came
home to Supp [..] to the best of my knowledge what we had that Night was two fowles Ro [..]
