The King against Thomas Wilks< no role > and Ann< no role > his
Wife

Samuel Hobart< no role > of the Parish of Fulham in the County
of Middlesex Gent and Richard Waite< no role > of the Same Parish
in the said County Gardiner Severally make Oath and Said
That both these Deponents unfortunately having become
bound for the said Defendant Wilks and his wife (that is
to say) the Said Samuel in one Recognizance for Twenty
Pounds for an Assault and likewise the other Deponent
Richard in three several Recognizances for him the Said
Wilks and Ann his Wife And both thesd Deponents Say
that the Said Thomas Wilks< no role > whom these Deponents are
bound for Soon after become a Prisoner and now in the
Kings Bench So that is was not possible for these Deponents
to have the Said Wilks at this Court according to the Tenor
of the said Recognizances That both these Deponents
have used their almost Endeaveurs in Order to get the Said
Wilks and Ann his Wife brought to this Court to plead to the said Indictments
against them purely to discharge these Deponents of their
Recognizances get not withstanding Such Endeavour
these Deponents find it impossible to get the Said Wilks
or his Wife from the said Prison for that they there
remain now in the Said Prison of the Kings Bench
