To the Right Worshipfull his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in their General
Sessions of the Peace held for the County of Middlesex at Hick's Hall assembled

We the Churchwardens of the Parish of Saint Martin in the
Fields in the County of Middlesex do hereby certify that
Joseph Hough< no role > hath given Security to indemnify our said
Parish from the Charge of the maintenance and provision
of a male bastard child born of the Body of Jane Sterrick< no role >
Widow And do consent and desire that he may be discharged
from the Recognizance in which he stands bound to answer
the Complaint of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor
of our said Parish for begetting the abovesaid Jane
Sterrick with Child as she made Oath.
