At the General Quarter Session of the peace of our sovereign
Lord the King begun and holden for the County of Middx at
Hicks hall in St. John street in the County aforesaid on Monday
in the week next after the Feast of the Epiphany (to witt) the
twelfth day of January in the Ninth yeare of the reign of our
sovereign Lord George the Second King of Great Britain France
& Ireland Defender of the Faith before the Justices next
under named and from thence continued by several adjornments
untill this day (to witt) Saturday the seventeenth day of the same
Month of January in the yeare aforesaid and on the same day
holden by adjornment at Hicks hall aforesaid in & for the
same County before Richard Newton< no role > Nathaniel Chandler< no role > Clifford
William
< no role > Phillipps Andrew Osborne< no role > Esquires & other their
Fellows Justices of our Said Lord the King assigned to keep the
peace in the County aforesaid and also to heare & determine
divers felonys trespasses & other misdeeds committed in the same
County,

Whereas Walter Worley< no role > late petty Constable of the Liberty of the
Rolls in this County dyed in the Month of November last, And
whereas Thomas Hammond< no role > an Inhabitant of the said Liberty
was afterwards in the same Month sworn petty Constable of
the said Liberty before Richard Newton< no role > Esquire one of his
Maties Justices of the peace for the Said County in the stead &
place of the said Walter Worley deceased, the said Liberty not
being within the Jurisdiction of any Court Leet and no [..]
General Quarter Session being them holden for the said County,
And this Court having thought fit to discontinue the Said Thomas
Hammond
< no role > from the said office doth discontinue and discharge
him from being petty Constable of the Liberty aforesaid, And doth
appoint William Dearne< no role > of the said Liberty of the Rolls Plaisterer
to be petty Constable of the same Liberty in the stead and place
of the said Thomas Hammond< no role > , And this Court doth Order that
the said William Dearne do attend this Court at this present
General Quarter Session of the peace to be holden for this County
at Hicks hall in St. John Street in the County aforesaid by
adjournment on Monday the nineteenth day of January
instant at eleven of the clock in the forenoon of the same day
And in the same Court take this Oath for his due execution
of the Office of petty Constable for the Liberty aforesaid, And
that he do from & after the time of his taking such Oath execute
the said Office of petty Constable Untill he shall be from thence
discharged by due course of Law,
