The humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St. James
Westmr. in the County of Middx

Sheweth


That by a Pass Warrant or Order under the hands and
Seals of John Milner< no role > and John Mercer< no role > Esqrs. two of his
Majesties Justices of the Peace for the sd. County of Middx bearing
date teh 1st.day of April instant [..] dith Ward was
Removed from the Parish of St. Giles's in the Feilds in the County
of Middx aforesd. to the sd. Parish of St. James as the place of the
last legall Settlemt. of the sd. Edith Ward< no role > Whereby your Petrs.
think themselves Aggrieved

And therefore humbly prays this Court
will please to Appoint a time for hearing
the sd. Appeal and that allpersons
Concerned May Attend at the Same time

And your Petr. Shall pray Etc

It is Ordered by this Court that the hearing & determining of the
matter of this appeale be and the same is hereby adjourned Untill
the next General Sessions of the peace to be holden for this County
And that the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of the parish
of St. Giles in the fields in this County doe (Uponnoticeservice of
a copy of the sd. appeale & of this order) attend the Court of the said
next General Sessions to be holden for this County by adjornment on
Friday the twenty Sixth day of May instant [..] at ten of the clock in
the forenoon to heare & abide the Judgment & determinacon of the
same Court touching The said appeale,
