The Order of Valentine Hildex< no role > and Nicholas Jeffreys< no role >
Esquires two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of Middx (Quorum
Unus) living near the Parish Church of St. Andrew Holborn in the County
aforesaid made the Twenty EighthDay of November Anno
Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and Twenty Nine According to the
Form of thos Statute in that Case made and provided touching a Male Bastard
Child lately born in the Parish of St. Andrew Holborn above the Barrs in
the said County of the Body of one Ann Ruper< no role > a Single woman The
keeping of which Child hath been Since the Birth thereof been a Charge to the
said Parish And is so likely to Continue

First Upon the Examination of the said Ann Ruper< no role > (taken upon Oath before
Us) and other Circumstances Wee do Adjudge one Bromley Groves< no role > of the Parish of St.
Dunstan in the West London Drawer the Putative Father of the said Male Bastard
Child. And We do hereby Order him the said Bromley Groves< no role > upon notice of this
our Order to pay or Cause to be paid to the Churchwarden and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of St. Andrew Holborn above the Barrs aforesaid or to Some or one of
them the Since of Two Pounds and Ten Shillings of Good and Lawfull Money of
Great Britaine for the relief and Maintenance of the said Male Bastard Child for the
First four weeks after the Birth thereof and for the Charges of the said Ann Ruper's< no role >
Lying in And also that be the said Bromley Groves< no role > shall Weekly and every
Week (after the Expiration of the First four Weeks aforesaid) Pay or Cause to be paid
to the said Churchwarden and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Andrew
Holborn above the Barrs for the time being (their Successors) to Some or one of them
the Sume of Two Shillings of Like Lawful Money for and towards the relief and
Maintenance of the said Male Bastard Child for So long and at Such times as He
shall Continue to be Chargeable to the said Parish of St. Andrew Holborn above the Bars .
And further We do Order that the said Bromley Groves< no role > Shall Pay and
discharge the said Churchwarden and Overseers of the Poor and the Churchwarden
and Overseers of the Poor for the time being of the said Parish and every of them
of and from all Debts damages and demands already demanded or Contracted
or that may here after be Demanded or Contracted of or by either of them for or
by reason of the Birth bringing up or Maintaining of the said male Bastard Child
in any Case whatsoever And Lastly We do Adjudge that upon notice
of this our Order the Said Bromley Groves< no role > Shall find Sufficient Sureties to the
Churchwarden and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. Andrew
Holborn above the Barrs for the time being or to Some or one of them for the
true Performance of All and Singular the respective Articles contained in this
Our Order. Given under our hands and Seales the Day and Year
above written
