and workman like manner, and to complent & finish
the Same before the thirty first day of October now
next ensueing (if the same can be done & performed
before that time) or assoon after as the same can
be conveniently done, And to find provide & use good
Sound & Sufficient Oaken timber, piles, planks & all
other materialls in & about the doeing of the sd. worke,
and to make & preserve a convenient passage for Foot
Passengers passing & repassing over the said Bridge
dureing the continuance of the said worke, they the
said William Butler< no role > & John Mills< no role > being at liberty
to use Such of the old timber & materialls as Shall
be assigned to them by a Surveyor (to be appointed
by the sd. Justices to Survey the Said Worke) as Sound
good & Sufficient to be used in the doeing thereof, and
the residue of the old timber & materialls over & above
what Shall be soe assigned is to be allowed to the sd.
Butler & Mills for their owne use, And that the sd.
Sume of £680. is in the opinion of the sd. Justices a
reasonable price for rebuilding the aforesaid
part of the Said Bridge, and that £226.13s.4d. part
thereof was advanced & paid by Sr. Daniel Dolins< no role >
Knt. Chairman of this Court in pursuance of the sd.
Order out of moneys by him reced of the Exer. of sd.
Isaac Tillard< no role > Knt. deced late Trear of Bridge money
& other moneys in his hands unto the sd. William
Butler
< no role > & John Mills< no role > at the time of their sealeing &
delivery of the sd. Articles, And that the sd. Justices
have covenanted by the said Articles that they or the
Trear of the moneys to be raised for repaire of the
publique Bridges of this County Shall pay £226.13s.4d
other part of the Said £680. after the aforesaid part
of the said Bridge shall be wholly planked and
£226.13s.4d residue thereof and in full of their
demands after the compleating & finishing the
rebuilding thereof in a good substantiall and
Woekman like manner and after that such Justices
of the peace as shall be appointed by the Court to
Survey the Said Worke Shall have certifyed to the
Court that the aforesaid part of the Said Bridge
hath been well & Sufficiently rebuilt with good Sound
Oaken timber, planks & all other materialls in a
Substantiall & Workman like manner according to
the intent of the aforesaid [..] covenant of the sd
workman, who have alsoe each of them entred
into a Bond unto the sd. Justices with Surety for their
performance ofthe covenants their covenants in
the said Articles, And that it is the opinion of
the said Justices and alsoe severall experienced
workmen have declared that it is their opinion
that if two starlings were erected & placed for
secureing the aforesaid part of the Said Bridge
Such starlings would very much conducon to the
preservacon & duracon thereof, And that the
expence & charge of erecting the Said Starlings
and finding timber & all other materialls for that
purpose will amount to the further Sume of
ninety pounds or thereabouts over & above
menconed, As by the Said Report relacon being
thereunto had may more at large appeare, This
Court upon consideracon had of the premisses
Doth Order that the aforesaid Report and the
matters & things therein Specifyed be ratifyed &
confirmed and the same are hereby ratifyed &
confirmed accordingly, And as to the erecting
& placeing of Starlings for Secureing the aforesaid
part of the said Bridge It is Ordered by this Court
that it be And It is hereby recomended and
referred back to the said Committee (vizt.)
