To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the
Parish of St. Clement Dans in the County of Midlx: and
to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the
Liberty of Norton Folgate in the sd. County belonging to
the Parish of St. Faiths in the City of London

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us whose hands
and Seals are thereunto Set, Two of his Majties: Justices of
the peace for the County of Midlx: (Quor un) by the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the Parish
of St. Clement Dans aforesd: that John Davenport< no role >
and Ann< no role > his Wife , and Ann< no role > his Daughter Aged
about Eight years, by a Former Wife, are lately
come into the sd: Parish of St: Clement Dans Endea-
-vouring to Settle themselves their as their Inhabitants
and are like to be Chargeable thereunto, and have not
brought any Certificate, nor Given notice in writing,
for gained any Settlemt: therein Pursuant and Accord-
-ing to the Several Acts of Parliamt: in that behalf
made, and Whereas upon the Examinacon of the said
John Davenport< no role > on Oath, Wee do Adjudge the prmises
to be true, and that the sd: Liberty of Norton Falgate is
the place wherein the sd: John Davenport< no role > was last
legally Settled: These are therefore in his Majties:
name, to Comand you the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the poor of the Parish of St: Clement Dans , forth
with to remove the sd: John Davenport< no role > Ann< no role > his Wife
and Ann< no role > his Daughter, from the Parish of St: Clement
Dans , to the Liberty of Norton Folgate aforesd: (which
wee do hereby Adjudge to be the place of then last
legal Settlemt:) and deliver them to the Churchwardens and
Overseer of the poor there, or to Some or one of them (to-
-gether with this prcept or a true Coppy hereof) who are
hereby required to recieve and pvide for them as their
Settled Inhabitants there, untill they shal be discharged
according to Law, Given under our hands and Seale the
8th: day of Janry Anno Dom. 1723/4
