Where as Complaint hath been made unto us two
of his Majties. Justices of the Peace for thesaid County
of Middx (Quor Unus) By the Chapell Warden and
Overseers of the poor of the Hamlet of Hamersmith
in the said County That Samuel a Male Bastard
infant aged three yeares & upwards hath been lately
brought as left in the said Hamlet wth intent to be
Settled there Contrary to Law And it appearing [..] unto us
the said Justices that the said Samuel the said Male
Bastard infant is likely to become Chargeable to the
said Hamlet [..] And where as upon Exaicon of St. Mary < no role > the
wife of Henry Hopkins< no role > taken upon Oath it Further
appeareth unto us that the place of the birth of the sd
Samuel the said Male Bastard infant is at the
Parish of St. Mary Stratford Bow in the said County
Wee the said Justices Do therefore adjudge the premises to be true and the said
parish of St. Mary Stratford Bow to be the place of
the last legals Settlement of the said Samuel the said
Male Bastard infant And Do therefore in his
Maties. name Charge & Comand the Chappell
Wardens & Overseers of the Poor of the said
Hamlet [..] Hamersmith Forthwith to remove &
Convey the said Samuel the said Male Bastard
infant from their said Hamlet top the said Parish
of St. Mary Stratford Bow & Deliver him to
the Church Wardens & Overseers of the Poor there
or to Some or one of them who are here by
required to receive him into their Care & to
provide for him according to Law Given
under Our Hands & Seales this First day
of March Anno Dorn 1722

To yr. Chappells Wardens & Overseers of yr Poor
of yr Hamlet of Hamersmith in yr County of
Middx & to yr Churchwardens & Overseers
of sd Poor of sd Parish of St. Mary Stratford
Bow in the said County & to every of them
