Worshipfull Sr

Through the Great Uneasiness and Concern I have for my
Family that they and myself may not be Ruined These
Comes in a Humble Manner to entreat the favour of you to take
the Hardship of my Case into Consideration Since this was
the first time I ever was Indicted for any Offence that I may
Crave Mercy to be Discharged from the heavy Fine the Court
was pleased to lay upon me I hope it is Still in the Power of the
Court while Sitting to go Back to take itt off, Since it is not
become an absolute Debt one to the King untill the Sessions is
Ended And the Rather because itt is not a Fine to be Estreated
but to be Satisfyed before I can be discharged if [..] the Court
pleases to Continue me And therefore I am Advised you may Discharge
me if you please to alter yor Judgmt: all which I humbly
Submitt to yor Consideration a I must indeed Say I ignorantly
Incurr'd the Displeasure of the Court thro. the mismangemt.
of my Unskilfull Sollr. for Indeed I did Intend to have
pleaded Guilty and Submitted my Self to the Mercy of the
Court which if I had perhaps I might have been Intituled
to the favour of a Small Fine or have been discharged
but I was He Advised Altho' I can Solemnly Say and fowear
Nay even take the Sacrament of it That I did not Strike
the Prosecutor at All, as She Unjustly Swore agt: me

Pray Good Sr. be So Kind as to discharge me [..]
or my Self and familye will be undone Since I have
made the Prosecutor Sat isfaccon and Mutuall Releases
have been Executed between us which if yor Worshipp
will be pleased to Do I Shall alwaies Esteem itt as a particular
favour [..] y done To

Yor Worships
most Obedient
Humble servt; in misery
