Upon heareing of the appeale of the Overseers of the
poor of the Liberty of the Rolls in the parish of St. Dunstan
in the west in this County against an Order under the
hands & seales of Alexander ward< no role > & Matthew Hewitt< no role >
Esqrs. two of his Maties. Justices of the peace (Quorum unns)
for the Sd. County beareing date the ninth day of
March last whereby Elizabeth shephard< no role > wife of
Rowland Shephard< no role > and their three children (Vizt.)
Ann< no role > their eldest daughter aged about six years John< no role >
their son aged about four years & Eleanor< no role > their
youngest daughter aged about two years & three
months were removed from the Liberty of saffron
hill etc in the parish of St. Andrew
Holborne in this County to the Sd. Liberty of the Rolls
in the said parish of St. Dunstan in the west as their
last legall place of Settlemt; And upon heareing
of what was insisted on by Councell for the Inhitants of the
said Liberty of Saffron hill etc in the Sd. parish of St. Andrew
Holborne & alsoe by Councell for the Inhitants of the
said Liberty of the Rolls in the said parish of St. Dunstan
in the west This Court is of opinion that the said
Rowland Shephard< no role > & Elizabeth his wife & their Sd. three children were last legally
settled in the said Liberty of the Rolls in the Sd. parish of
St. Dunstan in the west And doth thereupon dismiss the
said appeale, and doth ratify & confirm the aforesaid
Order of the said two Justices of the peace And doth
require the Overseers of the poor of the Sd. Liberty of the
Rolls & all persons coucerned to yeild due obediente
thereunto.
