of the Parish of St. Paul Shadwell in the County
of Middx And alsoe to the Churchwarden and
Overseers of the poor of theParishHamblett of
Ratcliffe in the Parish of Stepney in the sd. County

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us whose hands
and seals are hereunto sett two of his Majties. Justices of the
peace for the sd. County of Middx (Quor Un) by you the Churchwarden
and Overseers of the poor of the sd. Parish That John Dicks< no role >
Infant aged about three years Son of Andrew Dicks< no role > (a ma [..]
now and for some time last past at Sea unknown where) by
Elianor< no role > his wife was lately brought into the sd. Parish by the
sd. Mother with an Intent to Settle the sd. Infant Child there
Contrary to Law And now is likely to become chargeable to
the sd. Parish which wee doe find and adjudge to be true
And whereas alsoe wee the sd. Justices doe find by the
Examination of of the sd. Elianor Dicks< no role > taken before [..]
upon Oath that the sd. Infant Child John Dicks< no role > was borne
in the Hamblett of Ratcliffe in the Parish of
Stepney in the County of Middx and hath gamed
noe other legall settlement Since And whereas
alsoe upon a strict Examination taken upon Cash
before no the said Justices concerning the place of
legall settlemt. of the said said John Dicks< no role > Andrew Dicks< no role >
Father of the said John Dicks< no role > and place of his abode
or where he is to be found, wee cannott find any
place of legall settlement, or any place of his
abode or where he is to be found, where upon wee
the said Justices due adjudge the place of last legall
Settlemt. of the said Infant Child John Dicks< no role > to be
in the said Hamblett of Ratcliffe in the said Parish
of Stepney

These are therefore in his Majties. Name to
Com and yen and Every of you the Churchwardens
and Overseer of the poor of said Parish of St. Paul
Shadwell to remove and convey the said John Dicks< no role >
out of your said Parish into the said Hamblett of
Ratcliffe and deliver him into the Churchwarden and
Overseers of the poor there who are hereby required
to provide for him according to Law Given under Car
hands and Seals this 1st. day of Febry. Anno Rin Din George
