Whereas Upon reading the humble peticon of Henry
Doleman
< no role > & John Bradshaw< no role > late Scavengers of the
Liberty of Hollywell street in the parish of St Leonard
Shoreditch in the Tower Division in this County
exhibited unto this Court Settingforth that the Petrs.
Served the Said Office of Scavengers of the Sd. Liberty for
the Yeare last past and dureing the time of their being
in the Said Office they have disbursed & paid the Sume
of eight pounds & twelve Shillings for & towards the
charges of carrying away the filth dirt ashes & Soile &
cleanseing the Streets lanes & other places of the sd. Liberty
over & above what they have reced of & from the
Inhabitants of the Same, as by their accompts would
appeare being under the hands of Severall of the
Inhabitants of the sd. Liberty & confirmed under the
hands & Seales of two of his Maties. Justices of the peace for
the Said County resideing in the Said Division, And
that the Petrs. have Severall times applyed themselves to the
Present Scavengers & other Inhabitants of the Sd. Liberty
to reimburse them the Said Sume of eight pounds and
twelve Shillings who have & still doe neglect to pay
the same, And the petrs. praying an Order of this Court
that they may be reimbursed the sd. Sume of eight pounds
& twelve Shillings by such proper ways as to this Court
Should seem meet, It was Ordered by this Court that
Thomas Porter< no role > & Thomas Mason< no role > present Scavengers of
the said Liberty of Hollywell street in the Said parish
Should attend this Court to Shew cause why they refuse to
reimburse the Petrs. the moneys above menconed, Now upon
