Whereas upon reading the humble peticon & appeale of John
Tyser
< no role > exhibited unto this Court Setting forth that by a Judgmt.
or Order under the hands & Seales of Lawrence Saint Loe< no role > and
Anthony Maun< no role > Esqrs . two of his Maties. Justices of the peace for
this County (Quorum Unus) beareing date the twentieth
day of May last the Petr. is charged to be reputed Father
of a Male bastard child born in the parish of St. James
Westmr . on the nineteenth day of May last on the body of
Sarah Roberts< no role > Singlewoman , And that the petr. thereby thought
himselfe aggreived and appealed to this Court against the
Same It was Ordered by this Court that the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the poor of the sd. parish of St. James Westmr. &
all other persons concerned should attend this Court on this
nineteenth day of July instant to heare & abide the Judgmt. &
determinacon of this Court touching the Said appeale
Now upon [..] mocon made unto this Court by
Councell for the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of
the Said parish of St. James Westmr. who prayed that the
hearing of the Said appeale might be adjorned and
offered Severall reasons for that purpose, and upon hearing
of what was alledged by Councell for the sd. Appellant
It is Ordered by this Court that (on paymt. of the Sumo
of twenty Shillings by the sd. Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor or
one of them unto the said Appellant for his costs of attending this day
with his Councell & witnesses Upon this Court) the hearing and
determining of the said appeale be adjorned Untill the next
Generall Quarter Sessions of the peace to be held for this County
And that the Said Appellant & alsoe the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor of the Said parish of St. James westmr & all
other persons concerned doe attend his Maties. Justices of the peace for
this County at the next Generall Quarter Sessions of the peace to
