Whereas Upon reading the humble peticon & appeale of John
Tyser
< no role > exhibited Unto the Court of the last Generall Quarter
Sessions of the peace held for this County setting forth that by a
Judgmt. or Order Under the hands & Seales of Lawrence Saint
Loe
< no role > & Anthony Maun< no role > Esqrs . two of his Maties. Justices of the peace for
this County (Quorum Unus) beareing date the twentyeth day of
may last the Petr. is charged to be the reputed Father of a Male
bastard child born in the Parish of St. James Westmr on the
nineteenth day of May last on the body of Sarah Roberts< no role >
Single woman , And that the Petr. thereby thought himselfe
aggreived and appealed to the sd. Court against the Same,
It was Ordered by the Same Court that the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the poor of the sd. parish of St. James Westmr. & all
other persons concerned Should attend the Said Court on the
nineteenth day of July now last past to heare & abide the
Judgmt. & determinacon of the Same Court touching the Said
appeale, And upon mocon then made unto the sd. Court by
Councell for the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of the
sd. parish of St. James Westmr. Who prayed that the hearing of the sd
appeale might be adjorned and Upon hearing of what was
alledged by Councell for the sd. Appellant It was further
Ordered by the sd Court that (on paymt. of the Sume of
twenty Shillings by the sd. Churchwardens & Overseers of the
poor or one of them unto the sd. Appellant for his costs of
attending that day with his Councell & witnesses Upon the sd
Court) the hearing and determining of the sd appeale Should
be adjorned Untill this present Generall Quarter Sessions of
the peace holden for this County, Now upon applicacon made
unto this Court by Mr. Robert Cubbidge< no role > [..] (on behalfe
of the said Appellant) who informed this Court that the
Churchwardens or Overseers of the poor of the said parish had not
