the Artillery Company of the City of London &

Sheweth
That by Order made at the Genall Quarter Sessions of the Peace held for
this County by adjornment on the tenth day of October in the year 1715
It was Ordered that the Said Artillery Company should be wholly
Discharged from Paying towards the releife of the poor of the Parish of St
Giles without Cripplegate
in this County

ground commonly called the Artillery ground

That Notwithstanding the said Ordered the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the Poor of the Said Parish have rated and
assessed the said Company or the said John Smith< no role >
to the
poors rate in the Sume of four pounds & upwards for this
present year which your petionrs: are advised they ought
not to stand charged therewith
That your Peticoners conceive themselves agrieved with
the said Rate or Assessment & humbly Pray that they
may be wholly discharged from payment of the said
Rate or Assessment. [..] and to be releife
in the premisses,
