To the Right Worspll. his Matys Justices of the Peace for the County of Midds

The humble Peticon of Benjamin Mills< no role > now a Soldier in his Matys foot
Guards on the behalfe of Faith< no role > his wife

Sheweth

That yor. Peticoners said wife was indicted this prsent Sessions in this Honble Court by one
Jeffery Powers< no role > and his wife for an Assault

That Yesterday yor. Peticoners said wife stood Tryal with them upon the sd Indictmt. And the Jury
found the said Faith Mills< no role > Guilty And your Worspps. were pleased to fine her six shillings and
Eight pence. That yor. Peticoner nor his said wife were able to pay the said Fine Upon which she
was comitted to New Prison where she now remains

That she is now very big with Child and in a miserable Condicon and not able to pay the sd Fine
nor Fees So that she must inevitably perish unless releiv'd by this Honble Bench

Your Petr. therefore most humbly Prays yor. Worspps to be pleased to mitigate
the said Fine and to order that his said wife may be discharg'd out of
Prison

And yor. Peticoner (as in Duty bound) Shall ever Pray Etc.
