The humble petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens
Overseers of the Poor of the parish of St Mary Bothaw
in the City of London.

Shewth
That by Virtue of a Warrant or pass Order under the hands & Seals of
two of his Majesties Justices of the Peace for the said County of Middlesex
Bearing date the 23d Day of February last past Elizabeth Lane< no role > Widdo
of Samuel Lane< no role > deceased with Samuel < no role > aged Eleven years and Thomas < no role >
aged a year and an half Children of the said Elizabeth Lane < no role > by her
Said late husband was removed from the Liberty of the Rolls in
the County of Middx to the said parish of St Mary Bothaw
alleadging the said parishofto be the place of their last legall
Settlement That your Petrs doubt not but to prove that the said
Elizabeth Lane < no role > never had any legal Settlement in the said parish of
St Mary Bothaw whereby they conceive themselves aggrieved by
the said Pass order and do humbly appeal to your Worpps therefrom

Your Petrs therefore most humbly prays your Worpps
will be pleased to hear them in the prmised and that the
Overseers of the Poor of the Liberty of the Rolls may appear
before you and hear and abide the Determination of your
Worpps touching this Appeal
