collecting of the moneys hereby assessed upon paine of incurring
the penaltys inflicted by the laws now in force against such of
the sd. officers as shall neglect their duty in the premisses, [..]
And It is Ordered by this Court thatfor the better preservacon
of the sd. bridge after the same shall be repaired,he the
It is hereby recomended & referred to the sd Mr. Clitherow toreerect
said Christopher Clitherow< no role > doe cause an& set up or cause to be erected & set up a chain of Ironchain to be
sett upcross the oath way & to be locked or fastned to two posts on some convenient at of the sd bride [..] (reserveing [..] .at oath

Waggens,carts & other carriages from passing therewith over the saide bridge

goe thro' the same wth. their horses carts & carriageswth. safetywith safety, Andthatthe sd Mr. Clitherow is desired todoeemploysome credible
such pson or psons as he shall thinkfitperson dwelling neare the sd bridgeto look after the sd
chaine and [..] open the some at such times only asto keep the same unlocked whenthe sd River
is flooded or cannot be passed thro' without great
inconvenience or danger, Andthat the sd Mr. Clitherow
doe osbornsout of such publique moneys as shall come to
his hands for the repaire of decayed bridgespay &to allow
[..] such pson or psons such yearely salary or recompence for his
such yearely sume of money as he shall think fit to unto
or their-paines as he shall think reasonable
the person whom he shall employ to look after the sd. chaine
for his paines & trouble therein,And It is further Ordered
by this Court that the sd Christopher Clitherow doe at
the next Generall or Quarter Sessions of the peace to be
held for this County after the finishing of the repaires
of the sd. bridge make & deliver unto her Maties. Justices
of the peace for this County who shall be then & there
assembled a true perfect & fair accompt in writing of
all the moneys paid into his hands by vertue of the sd
assessmt. and of the whole costs & expences of repaireing &
amending the said bridge.
