Whereas Complaint-hath been made unto us two of her Majestyes Justices of ye peace for ye County of
Middlesex (quorunus) by ye Churchwardens & Overseers of ye poor of ye parish of St. Andrew's
Holburn above the Barrs in ye sd. County That Jane Shaw< no role > ye wife of Patrick Shaw< no role > is
lately come into ye sd. parish endeavouring to Settle herselfe there contrary to Law
and it likewise appearing unto us the sd. two Justices that ye sd. Jane Shaw is Likely
to become chargeable to ye sd. parish and whereas upon Examinacon of ye sd. Jane
Shaw taken on Oath it Farther appeareth unto us that the sd. Patrick Shaw
about Six Yeares ago [..] being a Singleman became an Hyred Servant by sd
years to one Mr. Denson then Living in ye parish of Christs Church in
Southwark in ye County of Surry where he Lived with him ye sd. Mr. Denson
one whole yeare & upwards in that Condicon and that since ye time of his ye sd.
Patrick Shaw's Liveing with ye sd. Mr. Denson as aforesd. he ye sd. Patrick Shaw
hath not as Far as we can Find gained any Legall Settlement she where Wee
thesd. two Justices do adjudge the parish of Christ Church in Southwark aforsd.
to be the place of ye last Legall Settlement of the sd. Patrick Shaw and do
therefore in her Majestyes name Charge & Comand ye Churchwardens & Overseers
of ye poor of ye sd. parish of St. Andrew Holburn above ye Barrs Forthwith to
remove & Convey ye sd. Jane Shaw from the sd. parish of St. Andrew Holburne
above ye Barrs to the said parish of Christ Church in Southwark and deliver
her to ye Churchwardens & Overseers of ye poor there or to some or one of them
who are hereby required to receive her into then Care and to provide for her
according to Law Given under our hands & Seales this Seventh day
of December 1713 .

To ye Churchwardens & Overseers of ye poor of ye parish of
St. Andrew Holburn above ye Barrs in ye County of Middx
and to ye Churchwardens & Overseers of ye poor of ye parish
of Christs Church in Southwark in ye County of Surry and
to all others whome it may Concerne.
