Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex

The Humble Peticon & appeale of Edward
Longstaff
< no role > of the Parish of St Giles without
Cripplegate in the said County of Middlesex
Gardner

Humbly Sheweth


That your Peticoner is rated nine Shillings
P Quarter towards the Relief of the Poor of the said
Parish, which is double the Sum he was ever
rated before, altho your Peticoner is no better
Circumstances, but a great deal worse than ever
having a Sick Wife and six small Children
[..] but most of whom are now Sick, also that others
of better abilities are not rated so much therefore
Your Peticoner humbly prays your Worships
to be Discharged from paying the said rate.

And your Peticoner as in
duty bound shall ever pray Etc
