Inhabiting next the Limits of the Parish Church of St James
the said Libty of Westm . upon Oath of Mary Reaves< no role > Single Woman
Mother of a Female Bastard Child born this Morning abo [..]
the hour of two a Clock in the house of the John Wilkinson< no role >
Rupert Street in the said Parish of St James Westm . that [..]
Mr Henry Lambeth< no role > of the same Parish. Gene
did beg [..] on the Body of the said Mary Reaves< no role > the said Female
Bastard Child which Child is become Chargeable to the said Parish
of St James of which the Church Wardens & Overseers of the
Poor of the said Parish have Complained Wee the said Justices
of the Peace upon the Examination of the said Mary Reaves< no role >
Mother of the said Female Bastard Child taken upon Oath. [..]
and other Convincing Circumstances us hereunto moving Doe
here by adjudge and declare the said Henry Lambeth< no role > to be [..]
reputed Father of the said Female Bastard Child born of ye body [..]
of the said Mary Reaves< no role > as aforesaid. And thereupon Wee doe
Order as well for ye releif and to save harmless & Indempnify
the said Parish of St James as for the maintaining & keeping the
said Female Bastard Child that the said Henry Lambeth< no role > shall
Pay or Cause to be paid to the Church Wardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the said Parish of St James for the time being or to
some or one of them the Sum of Eleven Shillings and Six Pence
a Week for the First Four Weeks from the Birth of the said
Child, and that after ye Expiration of the first Four Weeks the
said Henry Lambeth< no role > shall Likewise pay or Cause to be paid to
the said Church Wardens & Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish for the time being or to Some or one of them Weekly &
every Week the Sum of two Shillings and Six Pence of Lawfull
Money of Great Britain for and towards the Maintainance
& releif of the said Female Bastard Child. for to Long [..] as the
said Female Bastard Child shall remain Chargeable to ye Sd Parish
And Lastly Wee do Order that the said Henry Lambeth< no role > doe
forthwith upon Sight of this our Order a true Coppy there of
being deliver'd unto him give Sufficient Security for the [..]
Performance of the same or otherwise to find Securitys
to answer his Contempt & to abide such further Order as the
Court of Justices Assemble in their Quarter Sessions for the
Libty of Westm shall then think fit to make therein
